ABOUT JENN KERNS
Jenn received her Masters in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. Her post-graduate training includes the University of Vermont’s Department of Psychiatry, Middlebury College, and clinical supervision when she started her private practice in 2014.
Jenn has practiced and studied in the Buddhist meditation traditions since 2006. In college, she had the opportunity to study Buddhism abroad in Bodh Gaya, India, where she lived in a Burmese monastery as a student of Antioch College’s Buddhist Studies program. This transformational experience ignited Jenn’s passion for self-directed positive changes (neuroplasticity, cognitive reframing) and the role of mystical experiences and symbolization in healing. It also initiated her into many years of intensive self-study and robust spiritual awakenings.
Jenn credits her travels abroad for expanding her understanding of the nature of consciousness and opening her to a spiritual and soul-centered worldview. Since, Jenn has continued to study the intersections between Jungian and Buddhist psychology, consciousness studies, Human Energy medicine, Integrative Medicine, and brain re-training, while honing her spiritual gifts and practices with mentors.
Professionally, Jenn finds herself often re-imagining “the box” to evolve her holistic and integrative soul-centered approaches beyond traditional offerings, while remaining anchored in practical, actionable, evidence-based interventions. With a natural gift for teaching and speaking, encounters with Jenn often take the flavor of a soul igniting workshop as she loves to dive deep with clients into their rich inner landscapes.
