Getting Started

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW FIRST

Is therapy confidential?

My primary goal as a therapist is to create a space space for your growth. Above all, I will treat what you tell me with great care. It is your legal right that our sessions and my records about you are kept private. That is why I ask you to sign a release form before I can talk about you or send my records about you to anyone else. In general, I will tell no one what you tell me. I will not even reveal that you are receiving treatment from me. I take your privacy very seriously and I am happy to discuss this more if you have more questions!

How do I pay?

Understanding the insurance piece  can be confusing, so I am always happy to discuss any questions. Since everyone's plan is different, you will need to call your insurance to see if they cover 'outpatient mental health care' and to what extent. I ask that you do this before our first session. Be sure to ask if you have a co-pay, and if you have met your yearly deductible (if you have one). Payment is due at the time of service in the form of cash or check.

I accept the follow insurances:

  • Medicaid

  • Out-of-Network

  • Self-Insured

Right fit for me?

Since the therapeutic alliance between the therapist and individual seeking services is the best measure for successful outcomes, I wholeheartedly support your agency to choose whether or not working together feels right. In our first few sessions together, we will take the time to get to know your story and also decide it it feels 'right' to work together. If we decide that my services are not be the best fit, I will provide referrals to other providers who may more appropriate for the services you are seeking.  You always have choice!
